²¹ And ^(A)they said to them, “^(B)May the Lord look upon you and judge you, because you have ^(C)made ^[a]us repulsive in Pharaoh’s sight and in the sight of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us!”

¹¹ Then ^(A)they said to Moses, “Is it because there were no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you dealt with us in this way, ^[a]bringing us out of Egypt?

²⁴ So the people ^(A)grumbled at Moses, saying, “What are we to drink?”

² But the whole congregation of the sons of Israel ^(A)grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.

² So the people ^(A)quarreled with Moses and said, “Give us water so that we may drink!” And Moses said to them, “^(B)Why do you quarrel with me? ^(C)Why do you test the Lord?” ³ But the people were thirsty for water there; and ^[a]they ^(D)grumbled against Moses and said, “Why is it that you have you brought us up from Egypt, to kill ^[b]us and ^[c]our children and ^[d](E)our livestock with thirst?”
