11 Then Pharaoh also called for the wise men and [a]sorcerers: and those charmers also of Egypt did in like manner with their enchantments.
12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they were turned into serpents: but Aaron’s rod devoured their rods.
13 So Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he hearkened not to them, as the Lord had said.

New International Version
11 Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers,(A) and the Egyptian magicians(B) also did the same things by their secret arts:(C) 12 Each one threw down his staff and it became a snake. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs. 13 Yet Pharaoh’s heart(D) became hard and he would not listen(E) to them, just as the Lord had said.
