Exodus 7:16-18
Revised Standard Version
16 And you shall say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, sent me to you, saying, “Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness; and behold, you have not yet obeyed.” 17 Thus says the Lord, “By this you shall know that I am the Lord: behold, I will strike the water that is in the Nile with the rod that is in my hand, and it shall be turned to blood, 18 and the fish in the Nile shall die, and the Nile shall become foul, and the Egyptians will loathe to drink water from the Nile.”’”

But until now you have not listened.(B) 17 This is what the Lord says: By this you will know that I am the Lord:(C) With the staff that is in my hand I will strike the water of the Nile, and it will be changed into blood.(D) 18 The fish in the Nile will die, and the river will stink;(E) the Egyptians will not be able to drink its water.’”(F)
