^5 [a]Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘^(A)Stretch out your hand with your staff over the rivers, over the ^[b]streams and over the pools, and cause the frogs to come up on the land of Egypt.’” ⁶ So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the ^[c](B)frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt.

The Plague of Gnats

¹⁶ Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your staff and strike the dust of the earth, that it may become ^[a]gnats through all the land of Egypt.’”

²² Now Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that ^(A)there may be hail on all the land of Egypt, on man and on beast and on every plant of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.”

¹² Then Yahweh said to Moses, “^(A)Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up on the land of Egypt and ^(B)eat every plant of the land, all that the hail has left remaining.”

The Plague of Darkness

²¹ Then Yahweh said to Moses, “^(A)Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even a darkness ^(B)which may be felt.”

^21 (A)Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and Yahweh ^[a]swept the sea back by a strong east wind all night and made the sea into ^(B)dry ground, so ^(C)the waters were split.

²⁶ Then Yahweh said to Moses, “^(A)Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the waters may come back over the Egyptians, over their chariots and their horsemen.”
