² Speak now in the hearing of the people, that ^(A)they ask, every man of his neighbour and every woman of her neighbour, for silver and gold jewellery.” ^3 (B)And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants and in the sight of the people.

³⁵ The people of Israel had also done as Moses told them, for they had ^(A)asked the Egyptians for silver and gold jewellery and for clothing. ^36 (B)And the Lord had given the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that ^(C)they let them have what they asked. Thus they plundered the Egyptians.

¹⁴ But ^(A)I will bring judgement on the nation that they serve, and afterwards ^(B)they shall come out with great possessions.
