^16 (A)So it came about on the third day, when it was morning, that there were ^[a]thunder and lightning flashes and a thick cloud over the mountain and a very loud trumpet sound, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled.

⁴ If any of your scattered countrymen are at the ^[a]ends of the earth, ^(A)from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there He will ^[b]bring you back.

¹³ It will come about also on that day that a great ^(A)trumpet will be blown, and those who were perishing in the land of ^(B)Assyria and who were scattered in the land of Egypt will come and ^(C)worship the Lord on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.

⁵² in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for ^(A)the trumpet will sound, and ^(B)the dead will be raised ^[a]imperishable, and ^(C)we will be changed.

¹⁶ For the Lord ^(A)Himself ^(B)will descend from heaven with a ^[a](C)shout, with the voice of ^(D)the archangel and with the ^(E)trumpet of God, and ^(F)the dead in Christ will rise first.

¹⁹ and to the ^(A)blast of a trumpet and the ^(B)sound of words, which sound was such that those who heard ^(C)begged that no further word be spoken to them.

² And I saw ^(A)the seven angels who stand before God, and seven ^(B)trumpets were given to them.

The Seventh Trumpet: Christ’s Reign Foreseen

¹⁵ Then the ^(A)seventh angel sounded; and there were ^(B)loud voices in heaven, saying,

“^(C)The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of ^(D)His ^[a]Christ; and ^(E)He will reign forever and ever.”
