²⁴ God heard their groaning, and God remembered^(A) his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.^(B)

⁵ Now if you will carefully listen to me and keep my covenant,^(A) you will be my own possession^(B) out of all the peoples, although the whole earth is mine,

⁹ “I will turn to you, make you fruitful and multiply you, and confirm my covenant with you.

¹⁵ if you reject my statutes and despise my ordinances, and do not observe all my commands—and break my covenant,

⁴² then I will remember my covenant with Jacob. I will also remember my covenant with Isaac and my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.

⁴⁴ Yet in spite of this, while they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject or abhor them so as to destroy them and break my covenant with them, since I am the Lord their God.^(A)

¹² “If you listen to and are careful to keep these ordinances, the Lord your God will keep his covenant loyalty with you, as he swore to your ancestors.^(A)

¹⁸ but remember that the Lord your God gives you the power to gain wealth, in order to confirm his covenant he swore to your ancestors,^(A) as it is today.

The Judicial Procedure for Idolatry

² “If a man or woman among you in one of your towns that the Lord your God will give you is discovered doing evil in the sight of the Lord your God and violating his covenant^(A)

¹⁶ The Lord said to Moses, “You are about to rest with your ancestors,^(A) and these people will soon prostitute themselves with the foreign gods^(B) of the land they are entering. They will abandon me^(C) and break the covenant^(D) I have made with them.
