²⁴ So God ^(A)heard their groaning, and God ^(B)remembered His ^(C)covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

⁷ And the Lord said: ^(A)“I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry ^(B)because of their taskmasters, ^(C)for I know their ^[a]sorrows.

⁹ Now therefore, behold, ^(A)the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the ^(B)oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.

⁵ And ^(A)I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant.

^15 (A)how our fathers went down to Egypt, ^(B)and we dwelt in Egypt a long time, ^(C)and the Egyptians ^[a]afflicted us and our fathers. ^16 (D)When we cried out to the Lord, He heard our voice and ^(E)sent the Angel and brought us up out of Egypt; now here we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your border.

^7 (A)Then we cried out to the Lord God of our fathers, and the Lord heard our voice and looked on our affliction and our labor and our oppression.

¹⁸ And when the Lord raised up judges for them, ^(A)the Lord was with the judge and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; ^(B)for the Lord was moved to pity by their groaning because of those who oppressed them and harassed them.

^8 (A)When Jacob had gone into ^[a]Egypt, and your fathers ^(B)cried out to the Lord, then the Lord ^(C)sent Moses and Aaron, who brought your fathers out of Egypt and made them dwell in this place.
