⁹ You shall not worship them nor serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, ^(A)inflicting the ^[a]punishment of the fathers on the children, ^[b]even on the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

¹⁰ but He ^(A)repays those who hate Him to ^[a]their faces, to eliminate ^[b]them; He will not hesitate toward him who hates Him, He will repay him to his face.
