¹² He answered, “I will certainly be with you,^(A) and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: when you bring the people out of Egypt, you will all worship^[a] God at this mountain.”

⁷ When these signs have happened to you, do whatever your circumstances require^[a](A) because God is with you.

⁹ When Saul turned around^[a] to leave Samuel, God changed his heart,^[b] and all the signs came about that day.

¹¹ “Ask for a sign^(A) from the Lord your God—from the depths of Sheol to the heights of heaven.”

¹⁴ Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you^[a] a sign: The virgin will conceive,^[b] have a son, and name him Immanuel.^[c](A)
