²¹ Then everyone came ^(A)whose heart ^[a]was stirred, and everyone whose spirit was willing, and they ^(B)brought the Lord’s offering for the work of the tabernacle of meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments.

²² They came, both men and women, as many as had a willing heart, and brought ^(A)earrings and nose rings, rings and necklaces, all ^(B)jewelry of gold, that is, every man who made an offering of gold to the Lord.

²⁶ And all the women whose hearts ^[a]stirred with wisdom spun yarn of goats’ hair.

^27 (A)The rulers brought onyx stones, and the stones to be set in the ephod and in the breastplate,

²⁹ The children of Israel brought a ^(A)freewill offering to the Lord, all the men and women whose hearts were willing to bring material for all kinds of work which the Lord, by the hand of Moses, had commanded to be done.

The People Give More than Enough

² Then Moses called Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, everyone ^(A)whose heart ^[a]was stirred, to come and do the work.

⁴ And Jehoash said to the priests, ^(A)“All the money of the dedicated gifts that are brought into the house of the Lord—each man’s ^(B)census^[a] money, each man’s ^(C)assessment money—and all the money that ^[b]a man ^(D)purposes in his heart to bring into the house of the Lord,

⁵ the gold for things of gold and the silver for things of silver, and for all kinds of work to be done by the hands of craftsmen. Who then is ^(A)willing to ^[a]consecrate himself this day to the Lord?”

⁷ They gave for the work of the house of God five thousand talents and ten thousand darics of gold, ten thousand talents of silver, eighteen thousand talents of bronze, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.

⁹ Then the people rejoiced, for they had offered willingly, because with a loyal heart they had ^(A)offered willingly to the Lord; and King David also rejoiced greatly.
