²⁴ “The nation of Elam [^Ca country east of Assyria; present-day Iran] is there with all its ·army [hordes] around its grave. All of them were ·killed in war [^Lstruck down by the sword]. They had ·frightened people [^Lspread terror] ·on earth [^Lin the land of the living] and so went down ·unclean [^Luncircumcised] to the ·lowest parts of the place of the dead [underworld; world below]. They must carry their shame with those who have gone down to the ·place of the dead [^Lpit].
