3 Thus says the Lord Yahweh: ‘Alas, for the foolish prophets who are going after their own spirit, and they did not see anything![a] 4 Your prophets have been like foxes[b] among ruins. 5 You did not go up into[c] the breaches and repair a wall for the house of Israel to stand firm in the battle on the day of Yahweh.

3 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to the foolish[a] prophets(A) who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing!(B) 4 Your prophets, Israel, are like jackals among ruins. 5 You have not gone up to the breaches in the wall to repair(C) it for the people of Israel so that it will stand firm in the battle on the day of the Lord.(D)
