2 And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, 3 Son of man, these men have [a]taken their idols into their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be inquired of at all by them? 4 Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Every man of the house of Israel that taketh his idols into his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I Jehovah will answer him [b]therein according to the multitude of his idols;

New International Version
2 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 3 “Son of man, these men have set up idols in their hearts(A) and put wicked stumbling blocks(B) before their faces. Should I let them inquire of me at all?(C) 4 Therefore speak to them and tell them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: When any of the Israelites set up idols in their hearts and put a wicked stumbling block before their faces and then go to a prophet, I the Lord will answer them myself in keeping with their great idolatry.
