Ezekiel 14:5-7

5 so that I may take hold of the house of Israel by their heart, those who are estranged from me, all of them, through their idols.’ 6 Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Return,[a] and turn away from your idols and from all of your detestable things! Turn away your faces!”’ 7 For each person[b] from the house of Israel, and from the alien who dwells as an alien in Israel, who separates himself from following me[c] and brings up his idols into his heart and places before himself[d] a stumbling block of his guilt[e], and yet he comes to the prophet to consult him concerning me, I Yahweh will answer[f] him myself.

5 I will do this to recapture the hearts of the people of Israel, who have all deserted(A) me for their idols.’(B)
6 “Therefore say to the people of Israel, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Repent!(C) Turn from your idols and renounce all your detestable practices!(D)
7 “‘When any of the Israelites or any foreigner(E) residing in Israel separate themselves from me and set up idols in their hearts and put a wicked stumbling block(F) before their faces and then go to a prophet to inquire(G) of me, I the Lord will answer them myself.
