14 You became famous in every nation because of your beauty. Your beauty was perfect because I gave you my glory, declares Adonay Yahweh.

15 “‘But you trusted your beauty, and you used your fame to become a prostitute. You had sex with everyone who walked by. 16 You took some of your clothes and made your worship sites colorful. This is where you acted like a prostitute. Such things shouldn’t happen. They shouldn’t occur.

14 And your fame(A) spread among the nations on account of your beauty,(B) because the splendor I had given you made your beauty perfect, declares the Sovereign Lord.(C)

15 “‘But you trusted in your beauty and used your fame to become a prostitute. You lavished your favors on anyone who passed by(D) and your beauty became his.(E) 16 You took some of your garments to make gaudy high places,(F) where you carried on your prostitution.(G) You went to him, and he possessed your beauty.[a]
