Ezekiel 17:10-12

10 Yea, behold, being planted, shall it prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind toucheth it? it shall wither in the beds where it grew.
11 Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, 12 Say now to the rebellious house, Know ye not what these things mean? tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, and took the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and brought them to him to Babylon.

10 It has been planted,(A) but will it thrive? Will it not wither completely when the east wind strikes it—wither away in the plot where it grew?(B)’”
11 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 12 “Say to this rebellious people, ‘Do you not know what these things mean?(C)’ Say to them: ‘The king of Babylon went to Jerusalem and carried off her king and her nobles,(D) bringing them back with him to Babylon.(E)
