Ezekiel 17:21-23
International Children’s Bible
21 And all the best of his soldiers who escape will die by the sword. Those who live will be scattered to every wind. Then you will know that I, the Lord, have spoken.
22 “‘This is what the Lord God says: I myself will also take a young branch from the top of a cedar tree. And I will plant it. I will cut off a small twig. It will be from the top of the tree’s young branches. I will plant it on a high and great mountain. 23 I will plant it on the high mountain of Israel. Then it will grow branches and give fruit. And it will become a great cedar tree. Birds of every kind will build nests in it. They will live in the shelter of the tree’s branches.

New International Version
21 All his choice troops will fall by the sword,(A) and the survivors(B) will be scattered to the winds.(C) Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken.(D)
22 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will take a shoot(E) from the very top of a cedar and plant it; I will break off a tender sprig from its topmost shoots and plant it on a high and lofty mountain.(F) 23 On the mountain heights(G) of Israel I will plant it; it will produce branches and bear fruit(H) and become a splendid cedar. Birds of every kind will nest in it; they will find shelter in the shade of its branches.(I)
