Contemporary English Version
12 cheats the poor, and robs people. He keeps what is given to him as security for a loan. He worships idols, does disgusting things, 13 and charges high interest when lending money. An evil man like that will certainly not live. He is the one who has done these horrible sins, so it's his own fault that he will be put to death.
14 But suppose this evil man has a son who sees his father do these things and refuses to act like him.

12 He oppresses the poor(A) and needy.
He commits robbery.
He does not return what he took in pledge.(B)
He looks to the idols.
He does detestable things.(C)
13 He lends at interest and takes a profit.(D)
Will such a man live? He will not! Because he has done all these detestable things, he is to be put to death; his blood will be on his own head.(E)
14 “But suppose this son has a son who sees all the sins his father commits, and though he sees them, he does not do such things:(F)

13 Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.
14 Now, lo, if he beget a son, that seeth all his father's sins which he hath done, and considereth, and doeth not such like,
