Ezekiel 20:11-13
New Century Version
11 I gave them my rules and told them about my laws, by which people will live if they obey them. 12 I also gave them my Sabbaths to be a sign between us so they would know that I am the Lord who made them holy.
13 “‘But in the desert Israel turned against me. They did not follow my rules, and they rejected my laws, by which people will live if they obey them. They dishonored my Sabbaths. Then I decided to pour out my anger against them and destroy them in the desert.

11 I gave them my decrees and made known to them my laws, by which the person who obeys them will live.(A) 12 Also I gave them my Sabbaths(B) as a sign(C) between us,(D) so they would know that I the Lord made them holy.(E)
13 “‘Yet the people of Israel rebelled(F) against me in the wilderness. They did not follow my decrees but rejected my laws(G)—by which the person who obeys them will live—and they utterly desecrated my Sabbaths.(H) So I said I would pour out my wrath(I) on them and destroy(J) them in the wilderness.(K)
