²³ Therefore ^(A)he said he would destroy them—
    had not Moses, his ^(B)chosen one,
^(C)stood in the breach before him,
    to turn away his wrath from destroying them.

¹² Why then have you ^(A)broken down its walls,
    so that all who pass along the way pluck its fruit?

⁵ And now I will tell you
    what I will do to my vineyard.
I will remove ^(A)its hedge,
    and it shall be devoured;^[a]
(B)I will break down its wall,
    and it shall be trampled down.

^12 (A)And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt;
    you shall raise up the foundations of many generations;
you shall be called the repairer of the breach,
    the restorer of streets to dwell in.
