40 And how much more is it that they sent for men to come from [a]far, unto whom a messenger was sent, and lo, they came? for whom thou didst wash thyself, and paintedst thine eyes, and deckedst thee with ornaments,
41 And satest [b]upon a costly bed, and a table prepared before it, whereupon thou hast set mine incense and mine oil.
42 And a voice of a multitude being at ease, was with her: and with the men to make the company great, were brought men of [c]Saba from the wilderness, which put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.

40 “They even sent messengers for men who came from far away,(A) and when they arrived you bathed yourself for them, applied eye makeup(B) and put on your jewelry.(C) 41 You sat on an elegant couch,(D) with a table(E) spread before it on which you had placed the incense(F) and olive oil that belonged to me.(G)
42 “The noise of a carefree(H) crowd was around her; drunkards(I) were brought from the desert along with men from the rabble, and they put bracelets(J) on the wrists of the woman and her sister and beautiful crowns on their heads.(K)
