²⁰ then ^(A)I will make you go down with those who go down to the pit, to the people of old, and I will make you to dwell in the world below, among ruins from of old, ^(B)with those who go down to the pit, so that you will not be inhabited; but I will set beauty ^(C)in the land of the living.

^14 (A)All this is in order that no trees by the waters may grow to towering height or set their tops among the clouds, and that no trees that drink water may reach up to them in height. For they are all given over to death, ^(B)to the world ^(C)below, among the children of man,^[a] with those who go down to the pit.
