Common English Bible
8 After many days you will be called out. In future years you will enter a country that has been freed from the sword, a gathering from many peoples on the mountains of Israel, which had become a perpetual ruin. This country was brought out from the peoples, and all of them live securely. 9 You will invade like a sudden storm. You and all your troops, and the many peoples with you, will be like clouds covering the earth.
10 The Lord God proclaims: On that day, thoughts will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil plan.

8 After many days(A) you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations(B) to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety.(C) 9 You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm;(D) you will be like a cloud(E) covering the land.(F)
10 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind(G) and you will devise an evil scheme.(H)

8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
10 Thus saith the Lord God; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:
