45 The angel[a] told me, “This south-facing chamber is for the priests who maintain the Temple, 46 and the north-facing chamber is for the priests who maintain the altar. These are Zadok’s descendants, who, as descendants of Levi approach the Lord to minister directly to him.” 47 He measured the court in the form of a square at 100 cubits[b] long and 100 cubits[c] wide. The altar stood in front of the Temple.

45 He said to me, “The room facing south is for the priests who guard the temple,(A) 46 and the room facing north(B) is for the priests who guard the altar.(C) These are the sons of Zadok,(D) who are the only Levites who may draw near to the Lord to minister before him.(E)”
47 Then he measured the court: It was square—a hundred cubits long and a hundred cubits wide. And the altar was in front of the temple.(F)
