17-19 Then he measured the north side, the south side, and the west side of the wall, and they were each 250 meters long, 20 and so the temple area was a perfect square. The wall around this area separated what was sacred from what was ordinary.

19 Then he turned to the west side and measured; it was five hundred cubits by the measuring rod. 20 So he measured(A) the area(B) on all four sides. It had a wall around it,(C) five hundred cubits long and five hundred cubits wide,(D) to separate the holy from the common.(E)
