12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow every tree for food, whose leaf shall not wither, neither shall the fruit thereof fail: it shall bring forth [a]new fruit every month, because the waters thereof issue out of the sanctuary; and the fruit thereof shall be for food, and the leaf thereof for healing.

13 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: This shall be the border, whereby ye shall divide the land for inheritance according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions. 14 And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another; for I [b]sware to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance.

12 Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river.(A) Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit(B) fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary(C) flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.(D)

The Boundaries of the Land

13 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: “These are the boundaries(E) of the land that you will divide among the twelve tribes of Israel as their inheritance, with two portions for Joseph.(F) 14 You are to divide it equally among them. Because I swore with uplifted hand to give it to your ancestors, this land will become your inheritance.(G)
