24 I will bring (A)the worst of the nations to take possession of their houses. (B)I will put an end to the pride of the strong, (C)and their holy places[a] shall be profaned. 25 (D)When anguish comes, (E)they will seek peace, but there shall be none. 26 (F)Disaster comes upon disaster; (G)rumor follows rumor. (H)They seek a vision from the prophet, while (I)the law[b] perishes from the priest and (J)counsel from the elders.
