15 And he said to me, “Have you seen, son of man?[a] Still you will see again[b] greater detestable things than these.” 16 And he brought me to the inner courtyard of the house of Yahweh, and look, at the doorway of the temple of Yahweh, between the portico and the altar, there were about twenty-five men with their backs to the temple of Yahweh and their faces toward the east, and they were bowing down toward the east before the sun. 17 And he said to me, “Have you seen, son of man?[c] Was it too small a thing[d] for the house of Judah to do[e] the detestable things that they did here? For they filled up the land with violence, and they provoked me to anger again,[f] and look! They are putting the branch to their nose.

16 He then brought me into the inner court(A) of the house of the Lord, and there at the entrance to the temple, between the portico and the altar,(B) were about twenty-five men. With their backs toward the temple of the Lord and their faces toward the east, they were bowing down to the sun(C) in the east.(D)

17 He said to me, “Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a trivial matter for the people of Judah to do the detestable things(E) they are doing here? Must they also fill the land with violence(F) and continually arouse my anger?(G) Look at them putting the branch to their nose!
