Ezekiel 8:4-6
1599 Geneva Bible
4 And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there according to the vision, that I saw [a]in the field.
5 Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now toward the North. So I lifted up mine eyes toward the North, and behold, Northward, at the gate of the [b]altar, this idol of indignation was in the entry.
6 He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou not what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel commiteth here to cause me to depart from [c]my Sanctuary? but yet turn thee and thou shalt see greater abominations.

New International Version
4 And there before me was the glory(A) of the God of Israel, as in the vision I had seen in the plain.(B)
5 Then he said to me, “Son of man, look toward the north.” So I looked, and in the entrance north of the gate of the altar I saw this idol(C) of jealousy.
6 And he said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing—the utterly detestable(D) things the Israelites are doing here, things that will drive me far from my sanctuary?(E) But you will see things that are even more detestable.”
