^7 (A)“And there was another great eagle with great wings and much plumage, ^(B)and behold, this vine bent its roots towards him and shot forth its branches towards him from ^(C)the bed where it was planted, that he might water it.

^27 (A)Thus I will put an end to your lewdness and ^(B)your whoring begun in the land of Egypt, so that you shall not lift up your eyes to them or remember Egypt any more.

²⁰ For because of the anger of the Lord it came to the point in Jerusalem and Judah that he cast them out from his presence.

^(A)And Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

^13 (A)He also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God. ^(B)He stiffened his neck and hardened his heart against turning to the Lord, the God of Israel.

^5 (A)The army of Pharaoh had come out of Egypt. And when ^(B)the Chaldeans who were besieging Jerusalem heard news about them, ^(C)they withdrew from Jerusalem.
