⁴ And the Lord said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and make a ^(A)mark on the foreheads of the people who ^(B)groan and sigh over all the abominations which are being committed in its midst.”

^6 [a]Utterly ^(A)kill old men, young men, female virgins, little children, and women, but do not ^(B)touch any person on whom is the mark; and you shall ^(C)start from My sanctuary.” So they started with the ^[b]elders who were before the ^[c]temple.

¹⁶ And he causes all, ^(A)the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free and the slaves, ^[a]to be given a ^(B)mark on their right hands or on their foreheads,

The Lamb and the 144,000 on Mount Zion

14 Then I looked, and behold, ^(A)the Lamb was standing on ^(B)Mount Zion, and with Him ^(C)144,000 who had ^(D)His name and the ^(E)name of His Father written ^(F)on their foreheads.

Doom for Worshipers of the Beast

⁹ Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone ^(A)worships the beast and his ^(B)image, and receives a ^(C)mark on his forehead or on his hand,

⁴ Then I saw ^(A)thrones, and ^(B)they sat on them, and ^(C)judgment was given to them. And I saw ^(D)the souls of those who had been beheaded because of ^[a]their ^(E)testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not ^(F)worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the ^(G)mark on their foreheads and on their hands; and they ^(H)came to life and ^(I)reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

⁴ they will ^(A)see His face, and His ^(B)name will be on their ^(C)foreheads.
