Galatians 4:28-30

²⁸My friends, you were born because of this promise, just as Isaac was. ²⁹^(A) But the child who was born in the natural way made trouble for the child who was born because of the Spirit. The same thing is happening today. ³⁰^(B) The Scriptures say, “Get rid of the slave woman and her son! He won't be given anything. The son of the free woman will receive everything.”

²⁸Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise.^(A) ²⁹At that time the son born according to the flesh^(B) persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit.^(C) It is the same now. ³⁰But what does Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.”^[a]^(D)
