³⁰^(A)But what does the scripture say? It says, “Send the slave woman and her son away; for the son of the slave woman will not have a part of the father's property along with the son of the free woman.” ³¹So then, my friends, we are not the children of a slave woman but of a free woman.

³⁰But what does Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.”^[a]^(A) ³¹Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman,^(B) but of the free woman.^(C)
