Genesis 10:1-2

Good News Translation

10 These are the descendants of Noah's sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. These three had sons after the flood.

²The sons of Japheth—Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras—were the ancestors of the peoples who bear their names.

Genesis 10:2 Sons may mean descendants or successors or nations; also in verses 3, 4, 6, 7, 20-23, 29 and 31.
