¹ When Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am God ^[a]all sufficient, ^(A)walk before me, and be thou ^[b]upright,

¹⁷ Therefore will I surely bless thee, and will greatly multiply thy seed, as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore, and thy seed shall possess the ^[a]gate of his enemies.
