So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed him, and Lot went too; Abram was seventy-five years old at that time. He took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, and all his wealth—the cattle and slaves he had gotten in Haran—and finally arrived in Canaan. Traveling through Canaan, they came to a place near Shechem, and set up camp beside the oak at Moreh. (This area was inhabited by Canaanites at that time.)

So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot(A) went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old(B) when he set out from Harran.(C) He took his wife Sarai,(D) his nephew Lot, all the possessions they had accumulated(E) and the people(F) they had acquired in Harran, and they set out for the land of Canaan,(G) and they arrived there.

Abram traveled through the land(H) as far as the site of the great tree of Moreh(I) at Shechem.(J) At that time the Canaanites(K) were in the land.
