GOD’S WORD Translation
2 Abram was very rich because he had livestock, silver, and gold. 3 He traveled from place to place. He went from the Negev as far as Bethel, to the area between Bethel and Ai where his tent had been originally, 4 where he had first made an altar. There Abram worshiped the Lord.

2 Abram had become very wealthy(A) in livestock(B) and in silver and gold.
3 From the Negev(C) he went from place to place until he came to Bethel,(D) to the place between Bethel and Ai(E) where his tent had been earlier 4 and where he had first built an altar.(F) There Abram called on the name of the Lord.(G)
