Genesis 15:11-13

11 The birds of prey came down upon the carcasses, and Abram drove them away.
12 Now when the sun was going down, (A)a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, [a]terror and great darkness fell upon him. 13 God said to Abram, “Know for certain that (B)your [b]descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, [c]where (C)they will be enslaved and oppressed (D)four hundred years.

12 As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep,(B) and a thick and dreadful darkness came over him. 13 Then the Lord said to him, “Know for certain that for four hundred years(C) your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own and that they will be enslaved(D) and mistreated there.
