13 Then the Lord told Abram, “You can be certain about this: Your descendants will be foreigners in a land that isn’t theirs. They will be slaves there and will be oppressed for 400 years. 14 However, I will judge the nation that they serve, and later they will leave there with many possessions. 15 Now as for you, you’ll die peacefully, join your ancestors, and be buried at a good old age.

13 Then the Lord said to him, “Know for certain that for four hundred years(A) your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own and that they will be enslaved(B) and mistreated there. 14 But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out(C) with great possessions.(D) 15 You, however, will go to your ancestors(E) in peace and be buried at a good old age.(F)
