¹⁸ On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying,

^31 (A)I will fix your boundary from the ^[a]Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the River Euphrates; ^(B)for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you will ^(C)drive them out before you.

⁷ Turn and set your journey, and go to ^(A)the hill country of the Amorites, and to all their neighbors in the Arabah, in the hill country and in the lowland and in ^(B)the ^[a]Negev and by the seacoast, the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates. ⁸ See, I have placed the land before you; go in and possess the land which the Lord ^(C)swore to give to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to them and their ^[b]descendants after them.’
