⁵ He took him outside and said, “Look at the sky and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” Then He said to him, “Your offspring will be that numerous.”^(A)

² I will establish My covenant between Me and you, and I will multiply you greatly.”

²⁴ and the Lord appeared to him that night and said, “I am the God of your father Abraham.^(A) Do not be afraid, for I am with you.^(B) I will bless you and multiply your offspring because of My servant Abraham.”

⁹ “I will turn to you, make you fruitful and multiply you, and confirm My covenant with you.

¹³ He will love you, bless you, and multiply you. He will bless your descendants,^[a](A) and the produce of your land—your grain, new wine, and oil—the young of your herds, and the newborn of your flocks, in the land He swore to your fathers that He would give you.

⁵ The Lord your God will bring you into the land your fathers possessed, and you will take possession of it.^(A) He will cause you to prosper and multiply you more than He did your fathers.
