Genesis 15:9-11
New Life Version
9 So the Lord said to him, “Bring Me a three-year-old cow, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove and a young pigeon.” 10 Then Abram brought all these to Him, and cut them in two. And he laid each half beside the other. But he did not cut the birds. 11 When the meat-eating birds came down upon the dead animals, Abram made them go away.

9 So the Lord said to him, “Bring me a heifer,(A) a goat and a ram, each three years old,(B) along with a dove and a young pigeon.(C)”
10 Abram brought all these to him, cut them in two and arranged the halves opposite each other;(D) the birds, however, he did not cut in half.(E) 11 Then birds of prey came down on the carcasses,(F) but Abram drove them away.
