9 Then the angel of the Lord said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit yourself [a]to her authority.” 10 Moreover, the (A)angel of the Lord said to her, “(B)I will greatly multiply your [b]descendants so that [c]they will be too many to count.” 11 The angel of the Lord said to her further,

“Behold, you are with child,
And you will bear a son;
And you shall call his name [d]Ishmael,
Because (C)the Lord [e]has given heed to your affliction.

9 Then the angel of the Lord told her, “Go back to your mistress and submit to her.” 10 The angel added, “I will increase your descendants so much that they will be too numerous to count.”(A)

11 The angel of the Lord(B) also said to her:

“You are now pregnant
    and you will give birth to a son.(C)
You shall name him(D) Ishmael,[a](E)
    for the Lord has heard of your misery.(F)
