Genesis 18:14-16

Good News Translation

¹⁴^(A)Is anything too hard for the Lord? As I said, nine months from now I will return, and Sarah will have a son.”

¹⁵Because Sarah was afraid, she denied it. “I didn't laugh,” she said.

“Yes, you did,” he replied. “You laughed.”

¹⁶Then the men left and went to a place where they could look down at Sodom, and Abraham went with them to send them on their way.

¹⁴Is anything too hard for the Lord?^(A) I will return to you at the appointed time next year,^(B) and Sarah will have a son.”^(C)

¹⁵Sarah was afraid, so she lied and said, “I did not laugh.”

But he said, “Yes, you did laugh.”

¹⁶When the men^(D) got up to leave, they looked down toward Sodom, and Abraham walked along with them to see them on their way.
