Abraham: My lord, if you would like to stay for a while, I beg you not to pass me by. I am your humble servant. Let me send someone for water in order to wash your feet. After that I will not detain you further—you may be on your way—since you have come and honored your servant with your presence.

He said, “If I have found favor in your eyes,(A) my lord,[a] do not pass your servant(B) by. Let a little water be brought, and then you may all wash your feet(C) and rest under this tree. Let me get you something to eat,(D) so you can be refreshed and then go on your way—now that you have come to your servant.”

“Very well,” they answered, “do as you say.”
