Avraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quickly, three measures of the best flour! Knead it and make cakes.” Avraham ran to the herd, took a good, tender calf and gave it to the servant, who hurried to prepare it. Then he took curds, milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it all before the men; and he stood by them under the tree as they ate.

So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah. “Quick,” he said, “get three seahs[a] of the finest flour and knead it and bake some bread.”(A)

Then he ran to the herd and selected a choice, tender calf(B) and gave it to a servant, who hurried to prepare it. He then brought some curds(C) and milk(D) and the calf that had been prepared, and set these before them.(E) While they ate, he stood near them under a tree.
