So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes.” And Abraham ran to the herd, took a tender and good calf, gave it to a young man, and he hastened to prepare it. So (A)he took butter and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree as they ate.

So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah. “Quick,” he said, “get three seahs[a] of the finest flour and knead it and bake some bread.”(A)

Then he ran to the herd and selected a choice, tender calf(B) and gave it to a servant, who hurried to prepare it. He then brought some curds(C) and milk(D) and the calf that had been prepared, and set these before them.(E) While they ate, he stood near them under a tree.
