2 He said, “Please, gentlemen, why don’t you come to my home and spend the night? You can wash your feet there. Then early tomorrow morning you can continue your journey.”
“No,” they answered, “we’d rather spend the night in the city square.”
3 But he insisted so strongly that they came with him and went into his home. He prepared a special dinner for them, baked some unleavened bread, and they ate. 4 Before they had gone to bed, all the young and old male citizens of Sodom surrounded the house.

2 “My lords,” he said, “please turn aside to your servant’s house. You can wash your feet(A) and spend the night and then go on your way early in the morning.”
“No,” they answered, “we will spend the night in the square.”(B)
3 But he insisted(C) so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house.(D) He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast,(E) and they ate.(F) 4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom(G)—both young and old—surrounded the house.
