29 So it came about, when God destroyed the cities of the surrounding area, that (A)God remembered Abraham, and (B)sent Lot out of the midst of the destruction, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot had lived.
Lot and His Daughters
30 Now Lot went up from Zoar with his two daughters and (C)stayed in the [a]mountains, because he was afraid to stay in Zoar; and he stayed in a cave, he and his two daughters. 31 Then the firstborn said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is not a man [b]on earth to [c](D)have relations with us according to the custom of all the earth.

30 Lot and his two daughters left Zoar(E) and settled in the mountains,(F) for he was afraid to stay in Zoar. He and his two daughters lived in a cave. 31 One day the older daughter said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is no man around here to give us children—as is the custom all over the earth.
